I'm going thru your website for probably the hundreth time and it brings tears to my eyes of what I could have had both as a mother or birthmom. The other day, I came across the letter I sent you (I always write several versions before the final draft!) and it still touches my heart on who you both are. When I was going thru "my search", the couple I decided on was wonderful and beautiful in so many ways. I fell in love with them (especially the wife) instantly. It's unfortunate that she later told me that she wasn't fully honest on some things. I suppose God knew what I didn't and took my decision away from me. If I wouldn't have lost the baby, I would have given him/her to this family and I would have been hurt beyond belief. Having an open adoption was so important to me and I wanted to see the baby after birth so badly. God knew it wouldn't have been possible and that both of our views were different, unfortunately at the time, I didn't. That's why your family amazes me. For both of you to be so open and so honest (really and truly), it puts comfort in me knowing that if I were ever again in the same situation, I would be okay. You would still be the first person I'd contact :-) because like I've said before, you are the kind of people we hope to find. Sorry the note is so long, it's just been something I've been thinking about recently. Take good care and I hope you all are well.
